Before I saw the other comments, I thought maybe some greater variation in stroke size might add some interest.Elliothttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17743735816570314800noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35275813.post-21059772312160071102008-09-26T10:24:00.000-07:002008-09-26T10:24:00.000-07:00you got it Asma you were not focusing in any parti...you got it Asma you were not focusing in any particular way and that is what you painted. Ask yourself why do I love this place, and then how am I going to expess this in my painting. What color, design, style, emotion am I going to use. Start like this and the painting will take you in many directions. After awhile you will know which way to go. All the rest with some effort and some help will fall in place by it's self. Hopes this helps.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35275813.post-38683832100972013392008-09-26T09:54:00.000-07:002008-09-26T09:54:00.000-07:00Hi Asma, I love the sky color and the trees. Seems to me you might have made the foreground, which takes up 60% of the canvas, a little more exciting, maybe but a adding few darker clumps of grass or by adding a cow path or something. I do like the subtle variations and shading in the grass though! I had seen and loved deeply 'Christina World' by Andrew Wyeth. It has a large expanse of land 3/4 of it rest sky. It remains as a memory burnt in my mind. I visited this farm and painted it. Of course nothing close to what I had been admiring but it definitely was an influence. Hope you can make some sense of it all...asmaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35275813.post-36059187467776974422008-09-26T04:43:00.000-07:002008-09-26T04:43:00.000-07:00Asma!
