Simmering Sunset
20x30" Acrylic on canvas. Done today. C&C Welcome.
Hi Ralph, This would be my favorite sunset of yours. I really like the colour, but more so, I like the painterly feel. Feels like you had fun, were loose and in the moment.
Julie Mai, love that name, this was a painting I did awhile back and decided to redo it. There was no photo reference painted it from the top of my head. Letting go and getting out of the way in other words. Like lets see, try this and try that and it came out completely different. Yes really had a lot of fun with this one and I like it and glad you enjoy it. Happy painting, and yes I can walk on water if the ice is thick enough!
Hi Ralph, wow you keep bringing out one stunning sunset after another. The yellows are mellow yet so warm and strong here. i guess its the clous and the reflection which together bringing about that. i love the overpainting here i often do that myself too.
I like this one Ralph. Nice work. The thick brushwork in the sun and reflection is great.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colors here Ralph, the softness and thick paint make this an exciting piece. Brian
