This was painted from a ref photo i took last weekend at a lunch
out in the country,, i liked the way the dappled light fell on them
and that huge cactus in the background

This is a little 16x20" acrylic house portrait a friend asked me to do. I don't guess anyone is dead to do a house portrait but it's kind of a fun little exercise to work within the given constraints.

This is 18x24" acrylic. This is my first painting in a few weeks. I wasn't feeling it for a while, so I just took a break. I kinda struggled with this one, but I'm glad I got out the paints anyway.

Diane's New Book

Some great news...

Diane Lair, an art student of Brian Simons, has had her first children's picture book published. It is a delightful story about her little Westie, Miss Muggles. The book is called Miss Muggles, the Comical Dog. The book was illustrated by Donna Jean, another art student of Brian's. Children of all ages are enjoying this story over and over again. Grandparents, parents, teachers, aunts, uncles, anyone with kids' in their lives, might want to buy a copy and share the Miss Muggles' story with them.

Don't Have a Cow!

18x24 oil/canvas - had fun painting a similar cow this past winter and wanted to try another one, in oil and bigger than an 8x8. Takes me much longer to paint in oil than acrylic (hee hee). Thanks :) Sharka
