Hi Brian,

Well it looks like the blog is up and running with lots of interesting comments and pics. I'm posting an image of the painting I had in the Sidney Fine Arts last weekend.

I now have several paintings in the Morris Gallery on Burnside and Alpha. Of course I'm pretty excited!

I can see that you have been very busy creating wonderful new work.

Amber Hope's Martha Washingtons

This is about the only painting that i have done that i think i can post (i painted it in the summer). Lately i've been painting what some people might call "No-Brainer-Feel-Good" stuff in a simple folk-arty style - my user pic is a sample of that.

Now this one that i'm posting was quick and small (only 5x7 and painted with acrylics) but i think it's my favourite one i've done. Just thought i'd share at least SOMEthing! :-)

Sorry, i don't have a scanner, so there is a touch of glare on the upper left corner of the pic. Oh, and i plan on possibly changing the name to a red colour so it doesn't stand out so horrendously.

Studio 1050

Hi Brian,
This is the first time I have done a posting so I'm not sure how it works and whether I will be able to do what I want. Anyway, your idea is fabulous...I will enjoy posting new paintings and receiving critique from the others. I might need to come over and get a tutorial first! Now I will try this and see if it works. These are the three paintings I submitted to the Sidney Art Show...I got one accepted and for the second year in a row, it was my least favourite. What do you (and others) think? I will look forward to seeing what everyone is up to (once I figure out how to use this). Bye for now. Margaret

THanks Brian and Lovely paintings

Brian, thanks so much for setting this up, and good luck with it.

Bob, i love your work, very dreamy and loose. I also see those qualities in Brian's work, which is what attracted me to his workshop in the first place. Very very pretty.

I am a professional faux finisher, so painting is a little out of my comfort zone. Bob's workshop was the first fine art painting class i've ever taken. It was wonderful. I have painted a little bit since then - here's some weird work i did. THey are all self portraits. If you want to see my "real" work, you can check out my website at www.fakeit.ca
