18x24 acrylic. This is the one I was working on with you and Steve in the garage. I tried adding some orange under the umbrellas but not sure if it works.

18x24" acrylic. This one was fun, though the foreground is a bit much I think. Comments welcome.

Done today 24x30" a/c Comments welcomed. Brian

Brian, after an amazing and fun workshop, I am quite troubled by this painting. Its in the bedroom so I go to sleep looking at it and wake up looking at it.

I am pleased by the overall color palette, the values, the brushwork. The most disturbing paint is the color on the highlight areas of the truck. I was trying to repeat the sky color in the highlights on the barn, the truck and foreground.

The problem for me is having a COOL Color instead of the WARM - highlights on the truck. I am tooo reminded of a cheap, fad, solarization technique done to photograhs.

Please comment. Warm it up? Let it bother?

Thanks! Best Steven

Off to Boone, North Carolina on Thursday... my 4th visit there to do 2 workshops for all my friends there.
I will be introducing a new painting program for them involving 4 steps instead of 7. The program is called "A Fun Approach to Painting" and is a more immediate, direct, fun method which I have been experimenting with over the last 6 months. Should be lots of fun and I'm looking forward to seeing everyone again... a great bunch of people and a great place to visit. Brian
