Hi Brian, thanks for the help with the blog. Here is my first post! I had great fun painting these onions and also some pears. I couldn't seem to get the highlight on the red onion very good. First I used pinky white and when I looked at it all I could hear was "Chalk"!

SALMON


This is a small study done this morning 16x20" oil/canvas taken from a photo by a contributor in Goldstream Park Victoria. The salmon come up river, into the park, spawn and then die. This a 9x12 A/C of a small Garry Oak done plein air on Saturday.
Yes it was freezing but sunny!
Did some fine tuning on it in the studio yesterday.
I plan to paint a large canvas of it sometime soon.
