ARAB QUARTER

Just back from an awesome 3 weeks in Haifa Israel, visiting my daughter who works at the Baha'i World Center. Lots of pictures to paint from. This painting is an oil 30x30" of a section in the Arab Quarter of the ancient city of Akka. I liked the contrast of the old stone and muted tones against the bright blue.

  2. very nice, Brian. Am I mistaken or do you seem to be using oil more these days? Was this painted in Israel or back in Victoria?

  3. Welcome home, Brian! Your painting is exciting, and the colors exotic. Did you do any painting while in Israel?

  4. Hi Bruce, thanks for the comments, I am using more oil these days. Don't know why and it may change again. This was painted here in Victoria from a photo on my trip. Warm Regards, Brian
