Here's this weekends. The palette of this one was all grays. I must admit I seem to have an easier time with the grays. I also think they are beautiful. This is about 20X36 oil.
Hello Gang, Wow lot's of new work again. I will post comments. Well call me a glutton for punishment, but I had to do this one again. I shifted the format to 4'X4' And I concetrated on getting it closer to the photo I took. Which was a totally differant palette from the first. I think I may go in tomorrow one more time and hit the high lights and darken the darks. It's been a good excercise in dicipline. I've enjoyed taking time on one painting, it's felt a bit like a good book.
Had the great honor today of a studio visit from Canada's Grand Chief of First Nations, Phil Fontaine. One of my workshop students Sarah Williams came to pick up paintings she bought and brought Mr. Fontaine and his party along to visit the studio. Was a huge priviledge and honor to have met him!!! Thanks so much Sarah for such a great gift!
This is a figurative painting i did today, the subject is taken from a picture i took this morning of some guys working on one of my projects. Thanks for looking

Haven't painted like this since the workshop a year and a half ago. The values were all really similar. Was fun, think I will do a similar one again. 4'X6" Oil
