Here I am again!
I started this when you were here in Feb. Brian (remember me ruining the value study with all the little trees)? I Gessoed them out and finished it a couple of weeks ago. When I asked Steven for help he said he didn't have a clue as to what to do and that he would never have choosen this picture to paint. So there I was all on my own. Here is the result. I am happy with how it turned out. It looks a little more blue here than it does in person.

  2. Hey Page, so nice you could drop in here...been waiting a long time! Anyways, welcome!

Boy, this one just glows!!!You know page, if this was mine, I'd change the red sky to orange, whenever you get 3 strong primary colors in a painting it doesn't quite settle unless its a fauvist painting. The lovely values are competing with the strong colors so, by toning the red down to more of an orange it will settle down.. If you cover the red sky with your finger and look at the painting, its a gorgeous landscape with a wonderful play of warm and cool tones!!!! It's up to you! It would also work if you changed the yellow sky to orange and leave the red alone. Some delicious things happening in this one! Thanks for posting! Brian
