San Miguel de Allende

Hi again. This is the last one from last year; another Mexico scene. It's very imprecise and I'm wondering if I should try to be more accurate with the images. It doesn't show up in flowers but in buildings it's obvious when things aren't very exact. Thanks in advance for your helpful comments.

  1. Hello Paula,

I like this one with limited palette + nice shadows.
I tend to think accuracy is better left for photography!

  2. Hi Paula! A painting is a painting is a painting and nothing more. As painters, we should feel free to change the "expected" into the "unexpected" and not insist on the accuracy of everything. Accuracy is for draftsmen! I love the whimsical pattern and composition and again everything sits on 2 dimensions which I find very exciting! A Fun piece Paula!

  4. Thank you for your incredible encouragement. You have no idea how helpful it is to have other eyes and ideas put things into proper perspective (no pun intended).
