So I tried posting this (my latest) before, but it did happen. I'll get this computer stuff one day. I hope it doesn't show up twice.
Worked hard on the values, the warm and cool tones, and to try and keep that sense of overwhelming light that comes into my place in the mornings. It was a struggle. But a good exercise. It was small at 12X16 that made it trickier.
Julie,this is lovely, beautiful in design and yet still paintery! I love the glass table and warm/cool, compliments. Its also interesting that you avoided the temptation to overwork the figure, as new painters often do, but you managed to not make it any more important than anything else in the painting. Great job! Brian
