It was a great treat to paint this Thanksgiving long weekend (Canadian) It's been awhile. Comments always welcome.
Julie , that looks so much better, I'm glad you warmed up the light. It all hangs together now as a whole. Very abstract piece with beautiful design qualities. An exciting contemporary painting! Brian
Hey Julie! Wow, I really love this one a lot. I love the composition, the colors, the abstract geometric quality. Fantastic. What's the size and medium?
Thanks all for your comments; as it has been awhile it was great to hear from you all.I did this one twice, once in my home in California, where it still sits unfinished. But I learned enough from that one (60"x 48") to understand what I wanted to try and say with this one. It is acrylic, lots of layers and glazes, and it is 48"X36" When I get back to the other one, I think I might just go really loose and a bit crazy on it. I am really missing painting, it was so nice to paint for 3 days.
Thanks Alexandre and Dave for your comments. Dave, the one in Cal. has a few figures, when it's done I'll post it. But I really liked it better without. They drew attention away from the austere feel I was going for
