This is a little 9x12" study I did to practice for a larger one. It feels a bit boring, and I wonder how I might kick it up a notch when I go bigger.

Here's a 16x20" acrylic. Not sure why, but I experimented a little and didn't really do a value study. The end result definitley suprised me a bit. You say that's a good thing right Brian?
Haven't done a portrait in some time so thought I'd do one tonight. This is Brian Simons, my oldest grandson 3.5yrs old. 16x20" oil/canvas. Comments welcome. Brian
Been a couple of days since I've painted. Was away for a break for the weekend. This is a 'safe" little one 16x20" acrylic /canvas I did today. Comments welcome. Brian
This is a 16" x 20" acrylic of an unusual coffee shop in Asheville, NC. I feel like it's a little dead... maybe I need to brighten it up a bit.
Did this one tonight, 24x30" acrylic/canvas. Comments welcomed. Brian
I thought you would like this pic Brian... Steve was very kind to take me out plein air painting with him. It was my first plein air landscape and my first time working with oil. We had a great time and I learned a ton. As you can see, our subjects were eager to see the finished product.
12x12, oil on canvas. Sunflowers, love some feedback. Had considerable struggle to put forth the brilliance of the yellows which i saw before me, so much so it brought me shear desperation.
