Here's a 16x20" acrylic. Not sure why, but I experimented a little and didn't really do a value study. The end result definitley suprised me a bit. You say that's a good thing right Brian?
Wonderful Elliot! I love this! Very loose, free and playful. The 7-step method can consistently be relied on but venturing away from it is certainly OK too and a lot can be learned by doing so. The 7-step method is a great tool to help people get started painting. I love the colors here Elliot and the blue and pink near the bottom work beautifully and the green, wonderful! Brian
Its nice! I wasn't sure what to expect after you had described it. Loose and abstract -- not everything all mapped out make for a nice painting. Really cool brushwork, colors and shapes in the bottom/forground. Steven

ReplyDeleteThanks Brian! I do feel like it was a good exercise and I was pleased with the result, but I'm still a 7-Stepper!

Great vibe Elliot.
ReplyDeleteGreat feel to this painting Elliot!
ReplyDeleteLove those loose brush strokes!
Fun and playful. You captured the subject matter 100% with fluid not boring detail. I really like it,
