Palace Luster
Here are my latest. I really enjoyed the fluidity of the acrylics after my last painting. I had alot of fun.
These are great Julie, you sure captured the brass or the gold. All 2 seem a bit blurred or greyed, maybe its the light or your camera settings, but nonetheless, I like them. Brian
I miss the lights here Julie. But the composition is very interesting and you seem to be experimenting and trying new ways of expressing. thats good. keep it up.
Nothing wrong with your imagination Julie Mai! I read a little subliminal sexuality into this one but hey! what's wrong with that. Never a dull moment with you around Juli Mai! A very exciting triptych.
Thanks Brian, Asma, and Ralph for your comments. Asma I hear what you are saying, but I thought I would drop it down a notch and I didn't want too bright a highlight to distract. Ralph these are from a photograph I took in the Residence Palace in Munich (my old home town) this summer, no imagination here.....except maybe yours!!
Hey Ralph, ya I would agree smooth as butter!! Elliot, yes I used to live in Munich in my roaring 20's, and will probably move to Germany for a time within the next 5 years. I am German my last name means the month of May (Mai)and I relly like it over there. I think I will head back to berlin, very funky city. You've not been painting.

ReplyDeleteI hear what you're saying Julie, but it does look washed out to me. Interesting compositions though.
ReplyDeleteAre you saying you're from Munich or you lived there for a while? Either way, that's really interesting.
Great reply Julie Mai! Smooth as butter.
