Brazillian fishing canoes
Recently finished. My art teacher loved it and said not to change it. But, I'm sill wondering if the middle boat looks like it's sitting in the water. Comments or suggestions welcome.
Lovely, Carolyn! As you mentioned that middle boat seems lifted off the water some, but not sure if anything can be done. Maybe a warm light on the inside on the left might do it. Anyways, you can certainly leave it the way it is. Love the colors and light in this one. Brian
Fun painting Carolyn. I really like the colors. One thought on the middle boat would be to bring that far end back/down a ways for some foreshortening.
Always follow your own inner instinct as the final critic.

ReplyDeleteThanks for the suggestions. It is a strange composition so I'll try some of your thoughts.
