Hey Asma, Love the leaves /foliage work. I find the composition a bit stark, with the table centered. I also fine the dark line between the top left corner of the table and the wall a bit stark. It would be nice to see this bleed into one another. The ground ork is nice. Not my favorite, but I can appreciate the work involved. Julie
Boy, this has a real meditteranean feel to it Asma. I love the variations of white in the wall and the reds on the ground. The table is centered but doesn't bother me. The treatment of the leaves is wonderful. I think as Julie mentioned, if you remove the line defining the table against the white wall and allow that edge to disappear, it would make it more interesting. Nice job on this, love the hits of blue on the wall. Brian
I like this one a lot Asma. Nice work! It seems to have a bit of a Cezanne feel. I trust Brian's eye, though my initial thought was that the composition might be more interesting with the table and door off-center.
I also think it has a mediteranean feel to it. Then I thought maybe Alice in Wonderland would appear through the door. I think it's great and stirs one's imagination as to what's behind the door.

ReplyDeleteThanks all. I appreciate the feedback. I actually worked along my thoughts, feel towards the painting as i painted it. It took a course of its own.
