Wendy's Gloves
Here's a study I did that went wrong. The good news is I know where, and don't really mind, and I had fun. Reminds me a bit of those 70's black velvet paintings!! Ha!! I'll try it again tomorrow night a differant way.
Not sure how you went wrong here Julie, this is very exciting...I love the gradation in the background and the soft, careful rendering of the values on gloves....looks very accurate and believable to me...Brian
Hey Brian, The lighting is so uber controlled in the excersise, which i didn't have, that I went really off on my values. For example that backgroud is all black. Hope to do one again tonight, that mixes a variety of things i've been learning.I think when it's dry I may clean up some of the background. Is it really tacky to have all that linen showing?I kinda like it, it feels unfinished which I like. Julie
