Anticipation
Exploring colour. What I'm not so fond of, is the lack of interest in my edges, and brush strokes.
Hi Julie, love all the great colors in this! Yes, a lot of the edges are hard-edged and some thought could have gone into the edgework, but I like it non the less. What size is it? Brian
Hi Brian, ya I'm glad you agree. It's 30X40 I thought about my edges on the next one,which is also 30x40. One day I will be able to coordinate, value color and edges all at once!! In the mean time having fun.
Jule, lovely colors!! all cool to the eyes. interesting to see a polar bear painted this way. almost abstract. and its a big size according to my standards. nice work!
Love it Julie. It always amazes me when non-native colors work so well. I bet that was a great exercise. I agree that some variation in your stroke would help. Maybe try one where you really attack the canvas... get some nice gesture in there.
