Solitude

I have been taking a workshop learning a medium I thought I would like. Here is the little sample I did. Encaustic on board 11"x 14"

  1. Beautiful , subtle texture and color Julie, boy some great effects there. Love the little accidents and irregularities. You must be very pleased? Brian

  2. Love it Julie. I'm jealous you're getting to try encaustic--I'm really fascinated by that medium. I think it could really suit you... evidenced by this one, which is just super rich.

  3. Hi Elliott,
    Hi Elliot,
Yes, I have another two days. It is a facinating medium, and I think it really suits me. It maintains my "graphic" component, but adds, as you said, a richness that I feel I have been missing. I'm super stoked. It will take some getting used to, and isn't cheap, but it is taking my work where I want it to go. keep you posted with my progress.

  4. Hi Brian,
Boy my post didn't show up. So I will try again. Ya I think you nailed exactly what I love about this, the "little accidents and irregularities" I'm very excited. It is eye candy to me.
