COMMISSION PAINTING

This is a commission painting for a client in Alberta. The finished piece is 36x40" done with Golden"open" acrylics /canvas. Probably the most representational piece I've done in a long time, but had fun irregardless.
Comments welcome. Brian

  1. HEY COACH SIMMONS
I like it! Though its more representational than others, it still has Brian written all over it... fun, brushy. I like the way you punched-up the water and the details of the bottom of the pond. The detail in the flowers really enhances the foreground, middleground, background concept of depth.
    Good Job

  2. Hi Brian,
I think it's very pretty, and I'm sure the client will be happy. I particularly like the aqua tone toward the back of the lake, it gives it that real mountain glacier feel.

  5. Yours is very beautiful and makes the originaal look quite pitiful. I am sure its owner will be more than thrilled.
I keep thinking about you and wondering how the new book is coming and what it will be like. I look forward to hearing about it.
    Take care
