Hi everyone! Nice to see all the new paintings and everyone so enthusiastic and having fun! Brian is a great motivator and teacher. He is also my teacher and has helped me enormously with my paintings. Thanks again. Brian. Here is a painting I did yesterday. Still a few retouches to do.

ReplyDeleteI too think this is lovely, I particularly like the softness of the path, the dappled light,and the eye being lead down it. My only observation is; as much as I love the purple and hot pink barn, I find it commanding(ever so slightly) a touch too much attention away from the delicacy of the path. But that's just me.

ReplyDeleteHi! Julie! I understand what you are saying and I appreciate your suggestion, but the colors of the barn are a lot more subdued in the painting then showing here. As you probably already know but maybe didn't think of it, a photo of a painting is not always the same as the painting color wise. Have a good day!
