This is a little 12x12" (acrylic). Not sure if the dark "frame" in the composition works or not, but with all the contrast it was fun to do.

  1. Hi Elliot,

I think the frame works fine, I like the darkinterior looking out is great. What I'm having a little trouble reading is the reflection, on the corregated steel? Love the hose. Julie

  2. Hi Elliot, interesting study in light here...can't quite read the blue tarp of whatever it is in the background...I don't mind the dark border, but might brighten up the ground, bails and grass a bit more to really enhance the sense of light. Nice little piece here. Hey Elliot, nothing from Joanna in quite a while,
tell her I'm patiently waiting! Cheers Brian

  3. Thanks for the comments Brian and Julie. I will definitely try brightening up a bit. So you both have trouble reading the covering over the hay. It's actually this kind of vinyl tent with a translucent strip that lets light through. Hmmm... not sure how to make that read better.

My plein air piece documented the fact that Joanna has been painting! She should have something up tonight or tomorrow afternoon.
