First attempt at plein air. I thought it was very difficult. The painting seems wierd to me--any help?

  1. That looks like Joanna out there painting? A few things, firstly, I would thin out the easel legs a it and change the white to more of a cream color on the door, steps and paint stand.

I love the bushes and the yellow wals and the figure is pretty cool.
Thanks for posting Elliot and good for your for trying plein air. Brian

  2. Thanks for your help Brian... as always!! I'll definitely try those recommendations. That is indeed Joanna painting. I sort of tricked her--I knew if I needed her as a subject, she couldn't give up and walk away!
