Across Fron San Quentin

When I first moved to the San Fransico Bay Area six years ago, Scott Peterson had just been convicted for murdering his pregnant wife. It haunted me for awhile, as her body was found in the Bay, just down the hill from us. Scott is in San Quentin now, and everytime I drive by, I think about him, and all of the life he is missing. 24x20 Acrylic

  1. Hi Julie, I like the softness and colors of this one but not sure about those buildings? Doesn't grab me as much as some of your other work, but I do love the softness and colors. Brian

  2. This isn't my favorite of yours Julie. I like the lights on the water. Not that it matters but I thought they were cars on wet pavement at first. I don't know why, but the blue up top doesn't work for me.

  3. Comment above is me, Elliot, not Joanna. Sorry, I didn't realize she was signed into gmail. So, I'm definitely impressed with the technique--I don't know how you get those soft, subtle color changes.
