Invitation to solitude redone

24x30" Acrylic on canvas. C&C Welcome. Goes to show you how much a painter can shift from one day to another. I think from now on all my acrylic will be studys for oil.
Unfortunely my studio is to small for oil in the winter. On the bright it will give me time to improve for the summmer. Happy painting to all.

  1. Nice revision here Ralph, but think it lack a couple of darker notes. Seems a bit washed out without a few darks. Nice color and layout thought. A few darker notes will make those colors 'pop'! Brian

  4. I like the new addition but I agree that more darks would really punch it up. Good job

  7. At first I felt this was such a departure from the first one. The sky was lost, the darks weren't in. But this is really growing on me. Very sort of Gustave Klimt I didn't like the green, too strong, again it is growing.
